The ICAC not only investigates corruption but also engages in extensive public education campaigns. These initiatives raise awareness about the consequences of corruption and empower citizens to report unethical behavior. Ghana could adopt similar strategies to cultivate a culture of integrity, wherein citizens feel a personal stake in combating corruption.

One of the cornerstones of Hong Kong's success in combating corruption is its robust institutional framework. The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), established in 1974, operates with a high degree of autonomy and authority. Ghana could benefit from reinforcing its own anti-corruption bodies, ensuring they have the independence and resources needed to investigate and prosecute corruption without political interference.

While Ghana faces unique challenges, the lessons learned from Hong Kong's approach to corruption can guide its efforts toward creating a more transparent and accountable government. By strengthening institutions, enhancing transparency, educating the public, and engaging in international cooperation, Ghana can make significant strides in reducing corruption and fostering sustainable development.
