That’s a great question. Thanks for asking. What we try to do is pay attention to whether we are getting decent line hits on a consistent basis (line hits bigger than our bet amount) so that our cash amount is not going down too quickly. If we are not getting any hits at all (or only ones at or lower than our bet amount), the game may be more volatile than we thought and we may choose to move on. We also try to find games without high multipliers (5X or greater). In our experience, lower volatility games in many cases tend to be the more simple and traditional 3 reel games versus the more modern games with all the bells and whistles.

I recognize that the odds are always with the house, and that they're going to wind up with more of my money than I will have of their money. But, I have a long term strategy that tries to maximize the entertainment in my own way. I always have a specific budget. I also have a defined point where I quit if I get X amount ahead. The trick is to avoid backsliding and saying "just a few more spins". Then, I cash out, and take my winnings home and put them in an special envelope. Every year, on New Year's Eve, I take my little stash to my favorite casino, and for one night, I get to be a high roller queen. And sometimes I even leave New Year's Eve with a winning amount.

@@lnlself1117 But theres no such thing called bankroll strategy or bankroll management when it gets to slots or table games. There are no skills involved in these games. Bankroll management or strategy only applies to games that require skills such as poker. You can be a profiting player playing poker if you have proper bankroll management while having skills and purpose of having a bankroll management in poker is to sustain losses during their downswings. But with slots, house will always win. You cant beat the house. Having a "bankroll management" for slots just means youre managing your losing rate.
