When Daryl Ong was still a contender in The Voice, I keep on mentioning to people that he reminds me of KYLA, because he has his own signature with his take on RNB. The riffs and runs, the key change, shifting from different vocal techniques, and the classy take on all of it. That’s the major reason why I love Kyla so much. Because her RNB style is not predictable, but that you can expect newness and fresh take on things, and mostly, she makes the songs sound very classy and EXPENSIVE hahaha I believe Daryl Ong is taking similar steps toward that path, and I am extremely happy that both of them collaborated the first time, and now THIS! Such gifted artists you make brilliant work! I am floored. I am based in Sydney, so when ASAP had a concert, I made sure to buy a ticket. I expected Kyla, but that she ended up not coming because of a sad news. But I saw Daryl in the hotel when I purchased my ticket from their entourage, and he was just a metre away from me (social distancing much? Haha)

This song is so perfect for you guys! I wouldn't alter anything you've done here. So. Perfect. To Kyla, OMG you are the slayyer queen of RNB! Nobody's been up to your level in the PH with regards to the genre. Your tone is amazing! I like the thick voice when you sing low notes and your vibrato is so colorful with the drag. It brings so much texture to your singing voice but when you belt out the higher notes it knocks us off our feet literally! Your subtle way of peaking makes me appreciate you more as a singer who just gives enough birit but still makes the song whole. You and Daryl singing together is like a beautiful piece of chocolate with a sprinkling of habaneros in it; sweet and sizzling at the same time. Sir Bobby Velasco, the background arrangement is so smooth and lovely to the ears. You are a musician and artist worthy to be the talk of the town. Love it! Daryl, you are so in your element here. Man, you are at home in this genre that it comes so naturally. It's tasteful and it feels like you live and breathe RNB without ever batting an eyelash. It may seem weird to say this but I see you so relaxed even though you sing complicated riffs and runs and yet you make it easy and sound so refreshing. You are so creative with your runs that even though I've listened to the song a million times before, it still sounded like a new record. I know you have a light, higher octave voice but I feel so full and you made the song even more grandiose with an edgy vibe. You know what I mean, right? It's so dope! Personally, I like all the runs coz with you singing, there are never enough runs to get tired of. You are the king of the hill for sure! By the way, your eyes were twinkling during the whole performance so I believe you enjoyed yourself as much as we did. Harmony at the last few bars were very well-thought of and deliberate even up to the last note. Applause to your genius always. I love it that all of your videos are top-notch so it makes watching and listening a lot more pleasurable, crisp audio and all. Thank God for artists like you who swim against the current of conformity yet you stay true to your core. Your talent is obviously a reservoir of unending tide. P.s.
