I am a firm believer that there is no good or bad design of an IUL policy. It just needs to suitable to your clients needs. If a person is looking for maximum of death benefits, higher initial death benefits is better; If a person is looking for fast cash accumulation, your suggested design is better. But it is very dangerous if you design a B increasing policy and don’t change it back to A when stop funding. People will forget in 10 or 15 years when they stop funding. The policy will be in risk of lapse in later years if they forget to make the change. So you really cannot call an agent with higher initial death benefits design a criminal. It really depends on the client’s needs. If critical illness or death happen to a person at early policy years, the higher initial face amount design gets the best return - even it is sad money.

Quote term insurance that includes the accelerated death benefits for chronic, critical and terminal illness. It is way cheaper than including the amount of life insurance they want in an IUL.
@yongpingguo5025Ай бұрын
@ The primary purpose of a permanent life insurance product is always death benefits. That is clearly stated in the pre-licensing courses. And a term life cannot guarantee for life, that was the reason permanent life was created.

Hi Sue, I have an IUL with National Life Group. The index they put me on is the one without a cap. Is that a good company? Is Securian better? Thanks
@WealthProtectionLady3 ай бұрын
Hi, Peter! NLG is expensive! You are probably in the Pacesetter index which is a good one. Securian's BGAII S&P PRISM index is the #1 Best Performing index in the industry with an average annual return since its inception through last month is 24.5% including the combined 355% participation rates which are guaranteed at 100% and they begin reimbursing you for your expenses beginning in year 11 and by year 20, the first 10 year's of expenses will have been reimbursed.

Once you are done contributing to your IUL should the death benefit option be changed to level instead of increasing?
@WealthProtectionLady4 ай бұрын
Yes. Once you are sure you are not going to contribute to your IUL any longer, you want to switch the death benefit option to level because it is less expensive

Is it possible for you to take a look at mine? I am still unsure if my iul was structured properly so I’m not sure if I should cancel mine. That’s why I’m looking at your videos which are very helpful.
@WealthProtectionLady3 ай бұрын
Absolutely! Email your illustration to sue@wealthprotectionlady.com
@cesarjimenez61633 ай бұрын
In order to do that do I need request an in-force life insurance illustration? Also I’m 20 years old with low income, is it recommended for someone as young as me to even have an IUL?

Good afternoon Wealth Protection Lady, I think you do a great job of explaining things. Being that the insurance industry is extremely confusing, I still have questions as to whether or not an IUL is right for me. Can you please email me so that I can explain my situation? Thanks

These volatility controlled no cap indexes don’t move. They look good on paper but in real life they literally don’t do anything but stay still. I’d feel much safer with the s&p500 which actually has movement.
@WealthProtectionLady2 ай бұрын
Actually, they do move. I have live crediting history for the S&P PRISM index where the average annual return including participation rates is 24.9%
@tridentinecrusader94777 күн бұрын
@@WealthProtectionLadyI’m not denying they can have a good year. I can guarantee you it will not average 24.9% long term I.e 20, 30 years from now. These no cap indexes will average either the same or worse than the capped ones. One really good year is often followed by many years of little to no growth. Whether we are talking Bloomberg, prism, pacesetter they are all the same. The company creates these indexes for cheaper options costs. The pacesetter with NLG has had many lawsuits because it doesn’t move. It’s averaged like 2% over the past years. It’s much better to go with the capped index which we know will perform similar to how it did the past. The capped s&p500 will always have movement. Why would someone want an uncapped VOLATILITY CONTROLLED index. The name literally indicates that it will have limited movement. I want volatility. I want to hit that cap.

Thanks for a detailed informative video. Whats your take on this allegation? - kzbin.info/www/bejne/pKrckKinf5uLha8 Speaker basically claims that insurance companies can spin up a new product every few years where they can maintain good cap rates and par rates while they can eat off the in force old products where on same index , they can reduce par rates and cap rates while providing good rates on currently sold products. They can legally and contractually do this even though its unethical. This completely killed my belief in IULs. Wanted to understand what's your take on this ? and do you have any historic in force par and cap rates to disapprove of these claims?
@WealthProtectionLadyАй бұрын
I know there are some carriers that do this kind of thing. The carrier I use is Securian's BGAII with the S&P PRISM index 3-year point-to-point. Policy holders are locked into the current participation rates (a combined 355%) for 3 years. At the end of 3 years, whatever the par rates are at that time will be adopted. Securian has never lowered their participation rates before and in order for them to do that, the index would have to perform worse than the hurdle rate of 1.68%. I have been selling this product for 4 years now and the participation rates have moved up from a combined 190% to 355%. The important thing is that the participation rates are guaranteed at 100%. Allianz, for example, only guarantees their par rates at 5%. Not all IULs are created equal.
