Legendary tools are more important, because you can always get PaP in game without RNG. If the choice is going in with a Flawless Crystal or Legendary Aether Tool, pick the tool.

Does destroying aether orbs always give you a tool? I did it several times and got a bunch of uncommon in t1 and legendary in t3

Yep Pap 3 can easily be obtained every round with 30,000 essence, just takes a bit of time

Play a lot of zombies and noticed the same. PAP you can buy, rarity you can't so I always take a tool over a crystal if the ruck is getting full on the way out. Unless it's a refined crystal vs. a green tool but I prioritize the tools for exfil.

I stock up on the tools. You can buy pack easy. Hope they add some kind of scrap system or currency to buy the rarity you want.

Distance plays a role here also and should be mentioned. There is 3 tiers here. Max, medium and minimum. If ur inside ur max range ur doing full damage. Outside of max range ur doing medium damage and outside of minimum range ur doing minimum. Each gun is different and you can change these ranges with barrels, high grain rounds ECT... Iv never seen a video of how much the dropoff in damage is. He is shooting from pretty far here prob close to minimum range but could be in medium.

Xclusive Ace shows this for every weapon but im not 100% sure if multiplayer and zombies has the exact same range values. I just assume they are equivalent

Yeah this is a good point. I believe this is medium range as I built this gun for range not for zombies. But the point of the video is to show how damage stacks and even multiplies when you combine pack-a-punch with weapon rarity. As far as max damage goes, if I was 10m or closer it would be more damage for sure

I always think of weapon rarity and pap levels just like how they are in Cold war zombies White: x1 Green: x1.5 Blue: x2 Purple: x3 Gold: x4 And for pack a punch Pack1: x2 Pack2: x4 Pack3: x8

As a user with no legendary tool schematic, I'm good even with a pap 2 and any other elemental ammo asides the thunder one, with the lockwood, can even finish some stuff at tier 3 with some work, can't find any worm group tho, seems there are way fewer people doing it nowadays

@OneAverageDan wouldn't it just be a matter of seeing how many shots it takes to down a Tier 2 zombie with a base gun before the perk, then measure the shots from the base gun after the perk is equipped?

@@117asm yeah this is a solid idea, if I used a good sniper, sit on the island with a grey gun and shoot a tier 2 or 3 zombie until they die. Then equip dedshot and try the same type of zombie again

Dan have you tried using the M16 from MW2. Maybe a broken gun for zombies! Don’t remember my exact build but 60 round mag, 11.5 barrel, laser, xten under barrel, 4hr flash hider. Base head damage is 57 which I believe is higher than any other assault and LMG.

Dan, my exact build is 11.5 Carbine Shroud, SL Razor Hawk Laser, Bruen Bastion Angle Grip - Sacrificed ADS for recoil control and better Tac Stance, L4R Flash Hider, and a 60 Round Mag. Gun Could be seen as weak until it's pack-a-punched. Becomes full auto and 120 rounds in the mag and 900 rounds in reserve. I'm also assuming that you'd be using it with a gold wrench. You just asked during one of your videos for a gun that others aren't using. I don't need any credit, I just enjoy your youtube videos and the message you're putting out! Keep it up!@@OneAverageDan

Ya I've never seen flawless or legendary or epic. I get lucky and see pack a punch 2 sometimes. But doesn't matter when my game keeps resetting and i lose everything anyways. Been doing it all week since i hit Act 2.

If it's a gold (legendary) gun, the game won't let you use a legendary aether tool on it. If it's a purple (epic) gun, a legendary tool will upgrade it one level to gold (legendary).

The order you put them in does not matter. PaP or Aether tool first or 2nd will still give you the same damage output
