Fun random fact in defense of duel wielding pump actions . If the pump is heavy enough , they can actually run the action back under recoil if your not holding it. Then all it takes is moving the whole shotgun forward quickly to finish the cycle

Serious sam is one of my beloved childhood videogames. Glad to see a classic return. I just finished 4 and what can I say. I loved it. It has the classic SS feel but also has good improvements. Dual wield, weapon upgrades and the skill tree are welcomed additions in my opinion. Don't know why people seem to dislike this game. The characters were also very good.

The gun nerd in me is having conniptions at all of the things wrong with the (realistic) guns in this. - DEagle; Sam probably drops the slide on an empty chamber half the time, but his gun must be broken since it somehow holds 10 rounds in a 9-round mag (I'm assuming the '38' in the name means it's chambered for .357 mag, which is the most boring DEagle you could have in a game) and he never actually hits the slide release. - pump shotgun; chambering invisible rounds from an empty magazine, with the bolt and pump grip disconnected while used in akimbo - M16; holding 80 rounds in a bog standard 30 round mag, and he also doesn't chamber a round when reloading from empty - Thompson; inserts the drum mag the wrong way (drums go in from the side, sticks go in straight up and down), also doesn't open the bolt on empty and I doubt that his trigger control is good enough to release the trigger right as he fires the 80th round so the bolt locks open. Also those drums hold 100 rounds if I'm not mistaken. - Barret clone, not 16mm. Also he puts the mags in the wrong way. They're the 'nose in, rock back' type, not straight in and out. - When he does actually use a charging handle, he doesn't pull it far enough to actually chamber a round. Yes, I know that this game is the polar opposite of realistic and I'm being a nitpicky piece of shit, but if they can animate the rounds running out in a drum mag and ejected shells, and when your customers are going to see more reloads than in the vast majority of other shooters, then you can fucking animate the guns properly.

The big problem I have with these is that they're inconsistent. Some don't pull the charging handle, some of the dual wield weapons aren't mirrored, others are. It's weird, like there were four different animators and they never really talked to each other about what they were doing.

The problem with the sbc cannon is that perspectively, the cannonball seems to get bigger once it leaves the cannon, as if it inflates. The cannonball should look at least 5 times smaller when it gets to the wall. The same thing was happening in ss1.

I don't see it but I think you're right. In Serious Sam double barrel shotgun can press 2 triggers but for reload, he need switch the lever while my Doom Slayer version can press only 1 trigger because his super shotgun only have 1 trigger and can shoot 2 shells/pellets and he don't need switch the lever because it has button for release the shells. However Doom Slayer don't shoot 12-gauge but he shoot plasma gauge in his super shotgun.
