A few of their songs I can't get into, but this one is amazing top to bottom! I love how each song has its own sound and is much different. I see a lot of MCR references and I can hear those along with AFI, Alkaline Trio, and Misfits. This is a very unique sound and I really think they're on to something here

So uh, I got linked to this from a Metal Hammer page. Is this supposed to be dark, or "gothic" as was implied? I feel like I missed something. This is neither dark nor metal. In fact it sounds like pretty generic high school girl pop punk, or whatever the kids these days are calling it. You seem to go through a lot of trouble to give off this whole different, gothic, dark edgy vibe and then it's kinda ruined with the really generic music. Maybe im just numb after listening to nothing but black and death metal, but this seems really light.

this isn't metal at all, i think you could describe them as punk rock the best. they're different from most of the punk bands that were formed after 2010, so i really enjoy them even though i listen to heavy metal aswell i guess. it's all opinions in the end/

Not all dark or edgy bands are metal. I would probably classify this group as more "horror punk", kinda like a not as hardcore, more romantic misfits (just my own opinion, I'm kind of new to the horror punk genre so if you feel something else fits them better let me know). I really like this group and I think theyre great, but Im personally not a death or black metal fan that much. Basically, I think that there are lots of groups that can have dark aesthetics but not be metal. I dont think the two are mutually exclusive.

Like I said in my original post, I was linked to this from a Metal Hammer page, which is pretty obviously a metal themed magazine, and they very rarely stray from that. I suppose I was just expecting something different, as I had prepared myself for something really hardcore and it just wasnt what I thought

I would appreciate you not calling me names simply because Ive made a direct observation. I didnt say anything disrespectful about the band, I just pointed out it was weird for a metal magazine to plug something out of their style, and advertise it as if it were metal. That was the thing I was getting at, that they were making it seem like metal.
