Ah, so thats how they managed to pull it off The CEO mustve made a deal with the Mother of Death to turn what is technically a 50/50 into a 100%. The Shadow Realm must be an "outside" to all the other realms, where souls are discarded to . . .who knows. I imagine it didnt even look like it did until the CEO stumbled upon it and gave the MoD a proposition - souls without the extra wait or effort in exchange for giving him an empire to build, with faceless people within Its. . . interesting, though tbh I thought we would get more eldritch and less Marvel movie plot. The bit at the end with the rock seems abit extra aswell - like, how did it not destroy whatever Carrie put it in before she got to Earth if it worked that fast? An alright story, just not th edirection I wouldve liked

Still not done but I'm guessing the woman may have been let in intentionally and maybe she can't get to the city because she was imprisoned in the woods but the "magic bus" cloaks her or something and the shadow army is probably hers. Maybe she will lay waste to the entire dimension. Then they couldn't get home. The whole "do what I say and don't question it" could even have them doing a ceremony or something. Also what are the chances you land in a reality where people speak English? Unless he spoke to a close version of earth where he so happened to land by an English speaker. Imagine he spoke to himself or family! Sorry I like guessing to see if I was right.

This is pretty good and great narration! This story reminds me of The Left Right Game, narrated by Dark Somnium. It has somewhat of a similar plot with mysterious emails/documentation and a disappeared friend. It's different in its own unique way and the narrator is also pretty good, in case anyone is looking for another great story. It's worth every second of it.

I'm making this comment before I watch the whole thing. The CEO asking if they signed the NDA's after spilling the beans on the bus was suspicious. Then the forms just happened to be ready in his desk with no time to read it and sign. I worked doing some strange or dangerous stuff and they (gov. or contractors) make it a point that you are to read it fully before signing. It weeds a ton of people out. I was never rushed but the problem was the secret to above top secret programs left a lot out so it's still a gamble.

Schrodingers cat was an example given of how wrong quantum theory was, it wasn't created as an example of reality... whether it does so or not. Schrodinger disbelieved the new rules and mixed quantum and classical physics together in his example, which is why it's so wonky.

@@native2139 No, it was because the experiment would not work if you could observe the inside of the box with the cat. The story ignored some easily plugged plot holes about the bus for convenience or ignorance more likely. Authors by themselves aren't always the brightest bulbs.
