Literally the most underrated band I've ever heard. If this song was played on the radio, it would shoot straight to the top of the charts.

I'm digging the 80's vibe! I know everyone's missing the horns, but I definitely don't think they're dropping them, just playing with everything. Can't wait for the new album in January, the suspense is killing me!

Sounds like the end of an 80's movie. A happy couple who just got married, drive off into the sunset onto a paved road leading through a lonely desert, as they fade into the horizon. A circle of black covers the scene before ending credits.

This song is awesome! Every time I listen it totally reminds me of Stranger Things. It’s got that old time feel and when you hear “worlds apart” and “I’ve been waiting on this to start” it totally reminds me of the Upside Down and Mike & 11. You should totally send it to the directors to get your song featured! ;)

I have to agree with most of the comment section, the song is pretty darn good, but it's not what you guys could do with all of your musical talents. We're missing the brass, the sax, not much of the guitars or drums either. You guys sounded SO GOOD when you did things like Atom Bomb, Shame, warriors, Eye for an eye was a good one but I can tell that that's kinda where you slid into more of the Maroon 5 kindof area from your usual rock-pop /rock-jazz stance. Y'know, It really is hard to find new bands that can take you way back to the times where bands had actual talent and weren't just a computer or synth pad, the singers didn't rely on autotune constantly and actually put time and effort into getting their range. That's why I like you guys so much, because you made songs that aren't easy to find in today's quality. Even if you're just testing the waters, you can see that alot of people aren't happy with this. So try to stick to rock-pop/rock-jazz for now, you can cross 'be like

This is an excellent song... it's catchy, melodic and kind of has that 80's ethereal vibe which I feel is refreshing. I have heard a few songs from this group; the lead singer's voice reminds me of John Waite (The Baby's, Bad English) with a slightly higher octave. This song doesn't need the horns, whereas some of the others I heard warranted them... I don't see anything wrong with that. This song, Eye for an Eye, Atom Bomb... all different but show the band's diversity.. kudos to them!
@bayerinthewoods8 жыл бұрын
I've listened to this one multiple times trying to really enjoy it. Certainly not a bad song at all, but it's like "Warriors". Solid, I guess it's just hard to fall in love with every song equally. We all have favorites and I dig "Eye for an Eye" in this new album so far. Looking forward to upcoming songs. Also, can anyone tell me where the other old (Audio) song that isn't "One Night of You" went? Wish I could remember the title. Loved the old as much as the new.

It really feels like some guy in a suit sat down with you guys and said "You know what sells? Maroon 5 sells. Sound like Maroon 5." I hope some of the passion, energy, jazz and big band influence is still present somewhere in your new work. This is solid pop, but I'm missing your horn section lately.

Just to stop you all from complaining, have a look at a comment they made on their Facebook page: "Yes, the album will have horns on it for sure. Some songs more than others. Horns will always be a part of The Strike's sound. We are trying to incorporate them in new and interesting ways and expand our sound as we grow as a band. We hope you dig it." Give em some time people they've released two new songs!! 😏😏

the horn props were pretty low quality, even through the black and white the makeup used to conceal them looked pretty bad :p Music's good though, but I'm really missing the brass. Really liked the sound you guys had around the time you made Atom Bomb. Music video 5/10, pretty lack luster but over all not horrible. Just "meh." Music itself, maybe a 6.8 or 7/10, pretty good, good vibes, but not the music I expect from you guys or come to you guys for. Not gonna tell you guys not to change or that you can't do other styles because you clearly can and this sounds good, but I think you guys had a nice original sound with the big band/rock-pop style! it was a really refreshing mix of genres! but this does kind of sound like a loss of identity, anyone could have made this, ya know? kinda feels like all the pressure of the music sounding good is being put on "do you like the unique sound of our singer's voice?"
