Wolves fan in peace. Fans of our last three opponents keep saying "Wolves are at the bottom, battling relegation". Yes we were, with a pathetic, incompetent manager but we have the players who shouldn't have been in that position. We now have a competent manager who has the team playing with belief and we are getting the results that we deserve. We've gone from a manager who said that he couldn't get anything out of that set of player to getting 7 points from a possible 9. That says it all. There are a host of reasons why we aren't successful as a club. But in my opinion, it ultimately comes down to this paradox: We aren't patient enough to grow and win organically (e.g. sacked Nuno after 10 games!), but aren't ambitious enough to pay what's needed for quick success. Means we'll be stuck in this loop for the foreseeable future.

Most of that money was wasted on players with potential for a rebuild (e.g. Gil bought for Nuno), who either didn't fit the system for that manager or fell through the cracks when the manager was sacked. Like I said, no stomach for a full rebuild but would still rather buy four 20m young players with potential than an 80m player that walks straight in and improves the team dramatically, with perhaps one or two exceptions.

I’m a supporter since 1978 and I can tell you that Poch was the best manager in my lifetime, people will point to Burkinshaw but under Poch I was convinced that I would finally see us win the league. Sadly not only was he not backed up with signings but when the that small squad hit a brick wall and started to decline Levy sacked him for Jose when most fans knew how that would end. That Levy never brought Poch back when he had the chance tells me either Poch won’t come back because of Levy’s controlling style or Levy just wants to save face. I've always tried to back Ange, but yesterday, in a must win game, he has Maddison on the bench for the 3rd time in 5 games. He's one of our best players for f---- sake! Then the manager comes out with a quote that the players are tired. TIRED! They play 2 games a week, and even if they train 5 hours a day (which I doubt), that's less than 30 hours a week. Doctors and Nurses very often work 70 hours a week, but you don't hear them complain, nor do they get paid anyway near the wages footballers get. Tired? Yeah I'm tired of all the excuses, either sort it out or GO.

Our position in the table is very misleading. GON put us there and woulda taken us down IMO but we’re a mid table team essentially….. We’re so far behind at this stage in the season though I’d expect us to finish around 14th. To paint us a bottom of the table team is naive. We have some good players at Wolves and VP is beginning to get them looking like a team again. You cannot believe how bad we were under GON, literally League One level…. The players had lost interest, didn’t respect him or what they were being asked to do and tellingly only 2 or 3 wished him well on leaving. VP will get us moving and we’ll soon be leapfrogging The likes of Everton, Palace, etc… who knows maybe even Utd but we have soon tougher games ahead, we squandered all our “easy games” by sticking with GON and it was huge mistake…

I started watching these guys at the beginning of the Ange era. (Don't come at me, I'm Aussie. Surely you're used to ignoring the korean fans).
