Big ups to Spence! Glad he came into himself in time and proved that he not only has the skill, but the proper attitude to stay in the Prem. Like Jason over on LWOS said, this is a prime opportunity for Spence to make his way into the England Squad if he gets more minutes and shows consistency. Our LB/RB positions are lacking for country especially as Walker and Trippy gets up there in years. Shaw and Chillwell are bang average with no pace. I would love to see Spence and Trent down the wings in a 3 lions shirt.

It's probably best to wait 24 - 48 hours after Gazza speaks publicly before commenting on what he said as his agent is probably going to say something contradictory.

Porro was unbelievable watched whole game. Got an assist, should have had many more and earned penalty and nothing got by him the entire game. Really good player unfortunately gonna go to Real Madrid if they can’t get Trent

Like I said, Ange needs to chew on the players or throw them under the bus for every stormy day of a performance like at Brighton and moving forward. You need to get a firm grip on the players, let them know they’re playing under your guidance and your radar no matter they like it or not. If not then the club will get a hold of you, out the doors. @ WATTV I don’t think that we can yet say that leaving Spence out of Europa league squad yet. 1. It was a test of his character IMO . Had he sulked he would have been out the door. 2. It also remains to be seen if Forster will be needed. I have a feeling we’re gonna need him at some point and the other keepers I just don’t trust. Forster against Coventry was first game in almost a year and he also made some decent saves apart from errors.

Spence's previous contract ran to 2027, so it's only extending his term by a year fgs! Nothing to get excited about IMO. I haven't seen the new terms, so I don't know if it's a lot more money, or there's a huge new release clause. (He was only on £1.3m p.a.) But it seems most likely that Levy is simply securing his investment, buying a bit more time to sell Spence if Ange continues to largely ignore him. PS Come to think of it, not playing him much as yet may be to avoid some of the considerable performance-based add-ons which would otherwise be owed to Middlesborough. Who knows? With Levy, nothing would surprise me.

I wouldn't say Spence can't displace Udogie who had a poor game agianst Brighton and hasn't come on as much as the club would've liked. His pace seems to have dropped off and Spence is quicker.

Udogie is not 100%. The real issue is Levy not bringing an additional defender for a 2nd year in a row. If you consider Davies useless, Spurs are 2 defenders short.
