Those Air Jordan Flipsyde looked amazing! I am glad to learn more stuff that truly went over my head over the years. I think this AJ4 SB looks great, but with that price tag it will be hard for many skaters to get them, and even then, I would think twice before actually skating a pair. It would be cool to see if any other colorways are released after this one.

Great video Chris. I know a lot about historical shoes since i was born in '86, but I always learn something new from your videos. I didn't even know/remember there was a Jordan flipsyde model. Def a nice clean shoe. Personally think they should have put some of that green behind the netting to make them pop a bit more. But the shape and materials and slight tweaks like rubber for plastic in spots and other general tweaks def seem well done. The finished product / design doesn't blow me away but still quite good & def still going for them as the first colorway in this collab. Which is expected to be an ongoing collab (AJ4 x SB) , so def curious what other future colorways we get.

Those are killer. A must buy. I've skated AJ1s, AF1s & Dunks back in the 90s. Never seen anyone skate in 4s. The foam on the outsole at the pinky toe would last about 3 ollies

These really grew on me once I learned they were sail instead of whites and the green and gum started looking nicer. I always have also said that I liked the fours because they looked and felt kinda like the puffy wider dvs dc skate shoes I used to wear as a kid on my feet so it’s cool to have these kinda validate my claim

When I first saw these and then I seen that you had a video, the first thing I said was "I guarantee Chris will mention the shape and compliment how good they look. I know that you're big on how the shoe is as close to the original as possible. That pop of red and the sb on the Nike tab are fire. The soft tab where the Achilles is just put these over the top. Great shoe! Great video!

These are absolutely a must cop whether you are a fan of skateboarding or not these are soo clean especially with the SB branding on one of the most popular and iconic Jordan silhouettes ever. Definitely going for these, such a clean design!

​@@dylives7667 idk about that green cw but both lance mountains have great leather on them, got better board feel in 1s vs 4s too. Only downside to the 1s are tht they dont have the same insoles as the dunks

White or off-white, bit of gum outsole showing, colored accents and some kind of very light neutral tone to finish it off is a great formula As for the rubber suggestion, I think a lot if not most skaters do still prefer suede there, unless it's maybe some really strong AND grippy rubber, but I also would love the look of rubber, especially if it's more matte than the surrounding green bits. I wanna see more Chucks/Nizza/sk8-hi MTE 2 rubber toes around too, on that note. I'm kinda surprised we don't have regular sk8-hi's with it, even oldskools would be cool.

Couldn’t agree more with you Chris. I feel like they have a whole skate division at Nike and could’ve implemented more skate tech while making it still have the appearance of a Jordan 4. The small piece of midsole that’s by the toe should’ve been rubber a softer midsole could’ve been used as well for better board feel maybe a synthetic or fused toe cap instead of the suede and the whole sole should’ve been gum rubber just like ginger wheat’s or just the bottom like the dunk from above 4’s.

I had all the Jordan/ Nike SB shoes you mentioned in this video except the Koston x Jordan pairs, Chris. Resellers and hypebeasts to blame. Easily the best looking is the Jordan 1 phat and probably the Koston x Jordan 1, and least is the Flipsyde. Function wise, the P-Rod 9 Elite x Jordan is the best for skating among them all seeing as it had podded Zoom bags, and was slim enough to properly feel the board and had decent cushion to not feel sore after. I’m not sure if they were Met bags but cushion-wise they were the best amongst all the Jordan x SB sneakers. The Flipsyde joints were quite weird on the foot to skate since they didn’t have the usual low cut silhouette and cut up the back of your ankles because of the thick heel tab but man did the soles on ‘em last for a long time. Brings back a lot of memories from ‘09 when I only just started collecting Jordans when I switched from AF1s and RBX x G Unit shoes. 😂

I’m happy I got these bro! They are so comfortable compared to other 4s but also they’re just nice to look at! The cuts are very clean and you can really just admire the shoe for what it is! The new textures for the accents feel very nice and not just some cheaper alternative. Wow this shoe is up there with the white cements 2016 and Breds 2019 for me

That original J-Rod was based on Paul’s first signature shoe, while the latest version used the P-Rod 9 as a base. I have those, they’re pretty nice, not as the OG but it’s a nice modern version of the first ones, although a retro would be something nice to see. Those flip side are nice btw, I have never seen them. Hopefully I can get the 4’s, and even though they don’t make a lot of sense imo, they’re a pretty nice shoe and a “reimagined” military would be something nice if they use that leather, I like that cream colored look a lot and sounds better than a reimagined bred pair.
