I have to agree with everyone... Chris is staying true and I'm happy Chris is able to do performance reviews again. I've balled in the KDs since the 11s. The 14s were the best. I agree that these are not like the 16s and the 16s are better. These are similar to the 15s in the fact that I had heal slippage.

Great review. On the insole glue down, that happened on the 16s during a game, had to come out and fix it as the insole slid and bunched up. That's less a design issue and more a manufacturing issue.

I feel like the KD like has basically taken the place of the hyperdunk like in Nike’s lineup. It’s not really amazing at any one thing and doesn’t have a super strong identity as a signature line anymore. It is has however become a shoe that literally any basketball player can enjoy to some extent. Good enough cushion for most, good enough court feel for most, enough support for most, and decently consistent traction. All this in a shoe that you will likely be able to get 50% off from their website at some point before the next model drops.

I wonder why there are so many sneakers with strange designs and bright colors and in general with a lot of colors. While there are less and less of those classic or black and white, white, black with an elegant design that you can wear with almost everything, and many of these sarees seem to be non-stop summer.

I am needing a replacement for my KD14’s. And I have for a while they are falling apart. I log a lot of hours on the court and they are hanging on by a thread. I almost stepped into the Luka 3’s but I heard the traction sucks. I hate the low top movement… It’s really depressing. I just feel more comfortable hooping in a mid to high top basketball shoe. Very hard to find a mid top with the traction and comfort of the KD14. Still searching…

To me, i feel the air strobel in the heel and zoom in the forefoot is more stable than full length zoom strobel. I get how it’s technically a downgrade BUT my heavier body appreciates the more absorbent heel feel.

Picked these up and the glue on mine failed as well. It’s not that the shoe is uncomfortable, but the build quality is terrible. I would stay away from this shoe completely. Unless you wait for a later batch. I’m a big KD shoe fan and have used them all for hooping. The 15’s were the last good ones in my opinion.

I’ve always enjoyed the KD line for the most part but it’s interesting to see that the tweaks done to the 17 weren’t as great as the last one. The B*Witched - C’est la vie cut…was such a throwback! 🫶🏽 Also….I stand corrected but this video had the most amount of French inserted into it….with C’est la vie and Touché 🤓😆
