Slam Dunk is definitely a show from the 90’s that showcased sneaker culture at its best back then. From Sakuragi Hanamichi wearing the Jordan 6 white infrared to the Jordan 1 black/red; Kaede Rukawa wearing theJordan 4 white cements and Jordan 5 fire red; and the outburst of other characters wearing Converse Weapons and 90’s Cons basketball, and Asics sneakers….it was definitely a show to enjoy if anyone wants to get into the nostalgia of loving 90’s basketball and sneakers. Also, 2 out of 99 episodes are dedicated to shopping for sneakers!

Sail midsole is actually pretty smart by Nike because when that midsole inevitably ages, people will probably be less likely to notice because it was already yellow to begin with vs a drastic change from true white to yellow lol

A Different World is the best of all time, in terms of sneaker heat. It started in 1987, but continued to 1993. Dwayne (Kadeem Hardison) and Ron (Darryl M. Bell) wore an insane amount of 80s and 90s heat.

I don’t think anyone can argue against the Fresh Prince. As far as television shows go, or sitcom specifically, that was the top. I do think Seinfeld was impressive, considering it made sense from a cultural perspective that Will would have worn so many shoes, since he was coming From hip-hop culture. So for Jerry to wear that much heat, was pretty rad. I just don’t think you can top the Fresh Prince unless you went to a show like yo MTV raps.

These look like a great back-to-school shoe, I like them and will look forward to any sales that come their way. White Men Can't Jump was the first movie where I paid attention to what shoes the actors were wearing, there was a lot of variety in the movie in terms of shoes. They had a lot of Nike shoes like the Nike Air Command Force, Nike Air Solo Flight 90, Nike Air Flight Lite High, some Jordans like the 5 Fire Red, the 6 Infrared, Adidas Artillery, Converse Pro Conquest, L.A. Gear Catapult, and of course the Reebok Pumps.

Will Smith was definitely the GOAT, no doubt. But as I type, I'm watching the Scrooge episode of Martin. In the episode, he gives a needy kid the shoes off his feet. The episode debuted December 1996. It was the Jordan XII, released November 1996. The shoe wasn't the story, but if you knew, you knew. The episode with the Steel 10's (classic episode, btw), aired December 1994. Again the placement of the shoe was perfect without it being the story, per se. Jordan wasn't even back yet.
