There’s also 2 additional ways to set sand and snow. 1 for each of them. Start with sand cuz that one sucks is the Pokémon sandaconda, it’s ability sand spit sets sand if hit with an attack (I think only physical but I’m not sure). I say it sucks cuz sandaconda is a bad mon imo. For snow you have the move chilling reception which sets snow and switches the mon that uses it out. This is actually a really good move cuz it lets you set weather and pivot out preserving the mon.

Thanks for the information and examples! I think my favorite weather is rain just because I feel like it harmonizes with electric types amazingly. I don’t know that the other weathers have that same harmony with other types but if there are someone please let me know!

@@naterudamas3495 thank you for watching! I agree & think Rain can have more diverse Pokémon as opposed to the others. Only other comparison I can think of is Grass Pokémon on Sun teams because of the ability Chlorophyll. I’d say that combo can be the perfect counter to Rain teams

I'm just here for two reasons: pokemon and to support the growth of VGC through new content creators! I'm working on my 3rd team idea and it's focused on snow. Trying to see if I can break past 44 in masterball as that was my highest but...I just like making teams 😂

Hey Becca, my favorite weather in game is Rain & Ice, cuz if your a ice type you can get a boost or get healed and in rain you can get a boost in speed for water type swift swim, love your content ❤

You forgot about Slush Rush the Snow equivalent of Sand Rush/Swift Swim/Chlorophyll Alolan Sandslash is a notable users as well as Beartic and Cetitan. I'd be doing a disservice not mentioning that you can also set snow with the move Chilly Reception. Slowking is an infamous user of the move.

Rain is OP but prankster weather setters are better that ability setters bc its instant. volbeat gets both sunnyday and rain dance, so dose murkrow and both get tailwind.

I’m a hail/snow lover. I ran a snow Calyrex Ice trick room team last regulation, and I ran a baxcalibur earlier this Gen, so I might do that again. I think sun won’t be as popular this time because none of the proto synthesis pokemon are legal. However, it being the slowest weather not counting manual setters makes it definitely have a niche in shutting down what I think will be Omni present rain

From what I've seen, so few people use Snow. Of all the weather it seems like the most difficult to maintain. When its up tho, the Ice Pokemon abilities can run away with the game! I think early on we'll see a lot of variation but as we get further into the season I think Rain will just be everywhere

I wish sandstorm boosted rock attacks without sandforce because mons with sandforce usually have better abilities to use. This is why sun and rain are so dominant.
