Don't forget thermal expansion and contraction of air. Holding the glass warms it up, which expands the glass, and warms the air, which expands that as well. You seal it with a balloon and lay it down, the glass cools and contracts, along with the air, and it reduces volume, causing a vacuum. The same thing is done when sealing mason jars. You can see the same thing sealing hot food in a container and letting it cool, a lot of times it will pop the lid off from the amount of vacuum it pulls after it cools down.

Toothpick is not long enough to give alot of movement. Better to use a longer stick.

A good application of this is the air pressure inside the airplane. Your explanation reminded me about the ear pop. Very interesting demos and I really liked the passion you exhibit to explain these difficult concepts.

So I have a question .... if we say air pressure exerts force on all direction y can't we jump from a very high building or mountain then wait for the air pressure to hold us there....I know the effect of gravity but what happens to air pressure here

It is the force exerted on a surface by the air above it as gravity pulls it to Earth

Thanks for the video... Great presentation... Air is not pusshing on anything from any direction...? The so called Air-pressure only has the sense within enclosed-system...wherе there is a barier to push-aginst/oppose...? gass/air---expansion... The expansion which occure due to changes in Temperature...? Please STOP spreading misconceptions...and re-record the videos with correct explanations...? That would be great...? Also, great corelations with the physiological-processes...?

you showed us how to make the damn thing, but you didn't show us how to measure air pressure that is said to be equal to 101.3 kPa, where did science get this number from, their ass? ive been searching youtube fro an experiment that show me that air pressure equal to 1bar or 101.3 kPa, I still haven't found any.
