It should not have reverted the shift applied to the target column? as it currently has a 1-lag compared to the prediction, which increases the error. At least, that's my understanding.

I get a ValueError that states infinity or a value too large for dtype (float64).This happens at the second predictions = backtest after we add the 6 other columns. If you could let me know why I’m getting this error I would appreciate it?

Update So I tried using the data file that you used in this video New York airport and that worked but the one I was trying to use was the one in Michigan and that one gave me the ValueError. I still would like to know how I could correct this issue with the Michigan data set but just thought I would give and update.

Wouldn't it be better to use current weather variables before computing a guess? If you are using 24 hour old weather data, there is no way it will ever 100% be correct
