Probably got their hands on this tape and was like damn that was a cool section. Lots of great bands that would improvise live would come up with new songs that way. It’s how Dickey Betts came up with Les Brers in A Minor, another great almost-fusion type instrumental (closer to Santana than WR though)

This was my influence back as a bean bag kid. Was there for all there ground breaking stuff and play my ass of today for them. Was just a drummer but Jaco made me a fn bass dude for life ese. Can you immediately imagine listening to this when it first came out as it's fused stuff Jazz Latin rock WOW 😢miss them always and always thankful always grasias hermanos.
