Weather ruined our spring expedition to The Enchantments

I trained for a spring expedition in The Enchantments. We got snowed out.
I just got back from nearly a full month of traveling around the country and the highlight was my first extended overnight expedition, four days and fourteen miles in a region known as The Enchantments. The Enchantments are part of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness of the Cascade mountain range east of Seattle in Washington State. Every year thousands of backpackers apply for an overnight permit which would allow them to spend 3 days camping in The Enchantments core zone. I prepared for a month and a half leading up to the trip but things did not go as planned...
