This is arguebably the best Weathermen song ever made. They all just were on top of their game on this.

Dead Weathermen is the best WM song

It's my go to song when I'm feeling fucky in the head. Aesop is a God. I'm so sick of RTJ. I want one last el-p album with all the guests. Fucking bring back cage! Yak! Fuck RTJ, The weathermen is where it's at. This defjux weaponised audio got me through some extreamly tough times. RIP Camu and bro Jay too. Peace or fists.
@joemckeown70646 ай бұрын
@@mfbunyiphimself3227have you heard any of cage’s latest music… dude is wack asf. Aes and El ain’t cool anymore for some reason (even though aes wasn’t in weathermen) copy and yak ballz were always pretty wack, breeze doesn’t rhyme as much as he used to. Camu and tame are gone(rip) the only dude i want to work with el again is vast aire that would be dope as fuck but the rest who are still alive nah i’m good on that.
@PhatCage26 ай бұрын
@joemckeown7064 aes was most definitely part of the Weathermen
@joemckeown70646 ай бұрын
@@PhatCage2 once most of the members had left the weathermen became aesop cage and el p but the original weathermen was cage, tame one, copy, camu, breeze, yak ball, vast aire, jakki and el p. Aes was never an original member.

Blows my mind that 8 years later this upload has just over 20K views... Verses all crazy af and the beat is a precursor to what would become the signature sound of Run The Jewels. Strange times, indeed.

Plus somehow Cage has become unknown to these new fans of El/RTJ And Aesop. Cage went completely underground

@@lo-fireviews2693 Cages style isn't really mainstream marketable. He isn't cryptic enough about how dark some of his vibes are. People are scared to put him at the forefront, which is what he deserves but respect to him for making the music he wants to.

I know dude, I was always trying to spread the word when fandam and float came out back in high school but everyone thought i was crazy for listening to that kind of shit. Now some of those same people are coming up to me asking me if I’ve ever heard of RTJ....get the fuck outta here yo!

So fucking good. 12 years later, I still find myself randomly rapping Aesop’s verse.. The greatest.

I ripped that verse out at a house party trading rap verses. I didn't leave alone. I owe Mr. Bavitz everything. Lol

I saw Aesop live once around the same time this song came out. With no intro to to start the show he went straight in with his verse from this song.

I love this era of the underground, it can never return it’s just a moment in time. Nostalgia translates to “an ache for homecoming,” or some shit. That’s what these old songs give me.

This was an era when El-P and Aesop were at their most dystopian. Heh, 10 years later and after all we've been through I wonder if they will refocus on these themes and top this. Maybe as you get older you don't freak out over society's darkness and injustice as much though.
