That storm gave me 6-8 inches of snow along with 60+ mph wind gusts. I was forecast to receive predominantly rain from that storm, but unexpectedly changed to snow. My school did an early dismissal, but it was too late. Roads were covered, winds were insane. I was in 10th grade at that time. My school let out at 12:45 PM, but it took me over an hour to get home, and it was normally a 10 minute drive between my school and my house. There were many students who didn't get home from school till the evening. Many were stuck on school buses for hours. That day was insane.

I’m just south of you and I remember how crazy this storm was. I think I got around a foot and a half of snow.

I saw 8 inches from that storm.

I'm surprised that Blue Ridge still carries Weatherscan. Most cable providers had already been dropping Weatherscan off their channel line-ups for no reason.

Yeah, Blue Ridge is one of the very few left carrying Weatherscan, especially once Comcast dropped it. As of last check, Blue Ridge intends on carrying it indefinitely.

Frankfort Plant Board still carries it too. What's interesting about that unit is that it was possibly the only unit to only display local forecast and radar segments before Comcast dropped Weatherscan. There might be other smaller cable companies still carrying Weatherscan, but I don't know of any others off hand.

Actually, they *do* have a reason for dropping Weatherscan: they say "nobody watches it." That's *their* reason. That, and they also want to push weather apps on phones and such, not taking into consideration that not *everybody* does *everything* on their phones. Heck, I *always* used Weatherscan for weather information, because it was so convenient: just flip to Channel 101, and there's you up-to-date weather information any time day or night. Now, if I want weather information, I have to navigate to Weather Channel's website, maneuver through their pop-ups begging me to disable my adblocker, type in my city (because more often than not, I'm redirected to weather in Washington D.C., for some reason), and bring up my city's weather information. Not quite as convenient. I mean, Weatherscan was always the last thing I'd see before I turned off my TV and go to sleep, and the first thing I'd see when I wake up and turn the TV on.

Fear not, I still have more XL footage on the way. Just trying to diversify my content a bit more again.

wxArchivePA All right... I'll have more unheard "Look for mostly cloudy skies on (2nd Day)." narrations in the future...

Obviously, I don't have anymore of those, but I do have this! kzbin.info/www/bejne/a5W8dJWMbbyHpc0

I always look forward to seeing your XL clips, but this was nice for a change. I also look forward to seeing some IntelliStar clips from 2004 in the future. Also, would you happen to have a 90 second LF from February 21-March 2, 2006? During that time, the 90 second LF returned for the first time since September 26, 2004 (save for select long-form specials), and that had shown "the week ahead" instead of the "extended forecast" and did not update to show the latter until March 2.
