Weave a Wall Hanging (Easy Project for Kids!)

MATERIALS:
•Sturdy piece of cardboard
•Scissors
•String or yarn
•Yarns, ribbons, and or fabric strips
•Stick or dowel
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Create your cardboard loom by cutting evenly spaced notches along the top and bottom of the piece of cardboard (adult job)
2. Wrap yarn from notch to notch around the cardboard, tying knots at the beginning and end. These are your "warp" threads.
3. Weave yarn, ribbon, and fabric strips over and under the string until you fill the loom. These are your "weft" threads.
4. Slide the string loops off the notches at the top of your loom, one at a time, directly onto a stick.
5. Remove the bottom loops, one at a time, cutting and knotting as you go.
6. Add a hanging loop to the stick and display!
