As a Sámi person, I must say I'm incredibly impressed with your knowledge on us and how our patterns change between locations. I'm from Guovdageaidnu, Norway, but also in Dálvvadis (Jokkmokk in Sámi)

Thank you so much. I love Sami band weaving. The patterns are more complex than people might think and they deserve a wider recognition for their beauty. I have just received a copy of the wonderful book Cuoldin Samisk grindveving by Sara K. Haetta. I am thrilled that her love of weaving patterned bands has been recognised and will now be available for others to enjoy and learn.

Hello Scarlet I have a blog at durhamweaver64.blogspot.com/p/patterned-band-weaving-with-13.html and there is further information on 13 pattern thread patterns with a threading chart. The centre pattern thread is threaded through the centre shorter slot. On the odd numbered rows the heddle should be raised. If you like the heart pattern you can order the booklet with many more patterns for the 13 pattern slot heddle from the Braid Society. thebraidsociety.wildapricot.org/Books-for-sale It is called Weaving Hearts and Flowers. Hi Dee If you look on my blog at durhamweaver64.blogspot.co.uk/ there is a list of equipment stockists. No-one in the UK stocks this item but you can buy it from Vav Kompaniet in Sweden. They ship worldwide. The band lock is a very useful device. I use mine all the time when weaving. Susan
