This video has been a lifesaver. If you come from a low-income country, especially where you have foreign exchange limitations, every dollar counts. Have been able to speed up my website like never before on my cheap hosting. And guess what? Bunny CDN now also offers video hosting and streaming (Bunny cdn stream) based on usage. So I've been able to ditch Vimeo as well and put the videos for my online courses on Bunny. I am thrilled to bits. 🙌🎉

I've been using Name Hero for a couple of years and have been completely satisfied with the performance and service. Previously I was with A2 and they also had great service. At the time I switched to Name Hero, upgrading from the basic hosting plan to LiteSpeed at A2 was considerably more expressive than making the switch. Maybe pricing at A2 is different now. Glad you made this video. I've been telling anyone who asks about hosting to check out Name Hero but they all pass because they have never heard of it. Looking forward to your LiteSpeed tutorial.

I'm sure it will stir some pots and create all manner of uproar and chaos from the "establishment", but I find these little gold nuggets that you share to be awesome! LOL, I subscribed to WP Rocket (after years of pushing it) about a month ago (based on many experts opinion, including yours at the time)... Since I have the money now and may not have it later, after testing it and being satisfied, I upgraded to a 4 years + 1 free year... and yesterday, since they release 3.6, they made a 50% discount on 2 years (plus 6 months free)... Soo, now I'm okay until early November 2028...! Ready for their Black Friday deal of that year, haha... So, might have tested your settings first and not buy it at the time, but honestly, I'm pretty happy with it... Still activated your PHP settings suggestions to one site... Everything in GTMetrix stayed the same, except for the load time... but you always say yourself it can vary (though it was less than 50% of the previous test)... I have created and try a BunnyCDN account when you first talked about it... For now, I still have difficulties with CDNs, so have removed it... I guess it's good for a "static" site that doesn't change, but I've never seen a big improvement and sometimes you have "problems" when updating a site... So, maybe I'll give it another try at some point for specific sites... Thanks for the video!

Your article is quite interesting, but I would suggest there are more serious issues as to pricing that most people will 'forget'. It is not unusual to go looking for a hosting provider, i.e. Name Hero, Blue Host, Site Ground, etc. One then picks the recommended plan at a really good price. They fail to do due diligence on pricing and then later they find that the second and subsequent years the price has dramatically risen. Once the provider has 'sucked' you in the will raise the prices for subsequent years. Of the companies mentioned above - the first raise the prices by about 255% and Site Ground raises their prices by about 500%. As you are on auto renewal you may miss this beginning the second year and then the company is really pulling in your money. It would be nice to find a company that will give you the price the first, second, etc. years that is the same! Does anyone know of such a company as opposed to the ‘hidden’ cost of a major price jump from the first to subsequent billing cycles? Thanks - Ken

Because its ready to be delivered before requested the first time? If so. WOW. Seems to be working this way as I do the speed tests.. then purge the cache... wait... then do speed test again... If I test too quickly it has a 3 second load time, but after I wait a few minutes it can be under 1 second. This is after purging.

Jeez. Just watched 10 mins of the video and already tons of value. That’s why u are always my favourite youtuber in this field. I like how U dive into technical and not just those newbie asking u to click their aff link for and enable this and thar for nothing. Thx Adam! Just one question if I may, do siteground shared hosting have light speed technology ? if yes; can I run their Sg optimiser together with light speed plugin? Thx

They don't but the tech stack they do have is stellar. So they already have equivalents. They have the server side caching and their own caching and performance plugin. And thank you. My passion and opinion is coming out in this video.

Redis + memcache + opcace must all three be on, it can be control by W3TC use w3tc + wp rocket best combo! w3tc controls server side while wp rocket can take care of the caching at visitor side

Great video Adam! :) It should be noted however that to get Litespeed on A2 you need one of the Turbo plans. Startup and Drive do not have it available. That said, I just this week switched to the A2 Drive plan (may upgrade, but for now Drive is fine for my sites) and used their free migration. Awesome service! Six sites in less than 24 hours, including all email accounts! :) Did I mention that was free? :) Cheers! Lyle

Thanks for mentioning that Startup and Drive do not have Litespeed available.

I tried this and set as suggested but it's caused my site to grind to a halt today. The reason being, according to cpanel, my I/O Usage is maxed out at 100% together with a very high Physical memory usage. My hosting provider informs me it must be down to too many CRON calls. I unchecked the 2 php extensions and changed the LiteSpeed Cache selections back to default and things seem to be back to normal. I need to research and understand CRON better to figure out what went wrong and if I can change some other parameter to allow me to enable caching again.

Too bad caching doesn't work with Cartflows. I had such a great hosting with easywp, it was so fast but Carflows didn't work with it no matter what I tried. Now I'm with Siteground and it's much slower because of some caching/minifying features that I had to disable.

I have siteground as a host and I didn't see the PHP function in my panel, but it obviously supports lite speed because I had a ll green in my dashboard. I went to Cache > Object and set object cache to on and changed to redis with the port of 6379 and saved - still shows memcached enabled and redis disabled. But my main question is which speed plugins should I remove? Right now I have Assel Cleanup, Async Javascript, Autoptimize, Flying Scripts, and WP Fastest Cache - and of course Cloudflare.

just when I thought I saw everything when it comes to hosting and speed. Thanks, learned something new.

Do you use Litespeed Cache image compression or another one like ShortPixel or Gumlet?. Since both Shortpixel and Gumlet have inbuilt cdn (ONLY for images), I'm not sure if it's best use one of those or LSC image compressor together with bunnycdn. I'm afraid it might conflict to have both Shortpixel cdn for images and bunnycdn.

So when you have lightspeed-based hosting are you getting an individual server spun up for you, or are you sharing it with other accounts?
@WPCrafter4 жыл бұрын
This is shared hosting. The NameHero one is tightly controlled, but it's still shared.

Adam, nice job !! Hostinger also offers litespeed and if you install wp it autoinstalls the mentioned LiteSpeed Cache and Free Cloudflare, Now FYI namecheap is claiming cloudflare as something special while just giving the free cloudflare version which is actually good but they shouldn't advertise / act as if they offer the Pro version. Now I am curious and gonna try bunny CDN and see how that works. Thank you

Hi Adam, Thanks for this video. Please can you make a video on the litespeed plugin, our hosts do have litespeed installed on there servers. Thank you.

I only see Redis, and not Memcached, can I still follow? Or should I look for a new hosting that has LiteSpeed.

I am using hostinger for hosting my website. They also have litespeed servers. But want perfect litespeed cache plugin settings video. Waiting for it Adam. And thank you very much. I consulted with hostinger guys to enable Memcached and redis but they said its not available. But by watching your video I did all the settings myself. And noticed increase in pagespeed. Thank you very much. Waiting for litespeed cache plugin settings video. Cheers.
