Fabulous photography. Awesome Experience. We booked in November 2019 and finally realized our dream of a week swimming with humpbacks in September 2023, coming from Australia and Bulgaria. Heat Runs, Singers, Mother and Calf logging at surface, or diving out of sight to rise gently and be eyeballed by a calf within 2 metres. Spell binding. Mothers and calves large and tiny, with and without one or two escorts. Captivating ....

I have felt their calling to come swim with them for over 5 years. And just recently, I have been given the gift to go to Tonga in August to experience this magical miracle to be in their presence. Keep your desire strong, and they will see to it you come swim with them. Trust!

Dear Ollie, we have whales here in Piura, Perú. But authorities say that it is prohibited to dive with them because their behaviour is different when they are mating.. It is an irony to travel to other country when they are near to me :'(
@donnakawana5 жыл бұрын
@ well it is true whilst mating they are more dangerous. As they have one thing on their minds SEX.An you don't swim with a sea of horney males. The females have it hard enough an their size for each other. Then throw in a bunch of nosey well meaning humans an money hungry businessmen an yeah your government is at least smart....

Amazing shots ! Such a beautiful world, such a biodiversity, such a wonderful nature and so many enchanting creatures. How can it be that among so many creatures that in no way do harm, must be one living being that causes so much suffering and must bring so many destruction ???

so beautifully shot and explained! I spent a week swimming with the whales this year and is such a life changing experience. We had some special time with a very curious calf and her Mum and escort and she too swum clumsily over to me again and again and again (It felt like I was her favourite!!) - Mum turned to me at one point and rolled on her back within inches of me and you are right, they are so situationally aware it is just amazing. No words can really explain but your video did great justice to the experience. Thank you.

There is a video somewhere on here that showed a juvenile humpback in no doubt his/her first migration to wherever, and it swam too close to shore and beached itself...they were unable to get back into the water! I’m sure it died...broke my heart!! Whales are the true giants of the sea!!! We gotta figure out a way to keep those damn japanese from killing and eating them...might be the reason for their earthquakes!!!
