It’s an exciting time for CSS! It feels like new features are being added every day. And yet, through it all, CSS has managed to remain an accessible language for anyone making websites. Is this an inevitable part of the design of CSS? Or has CSS been formed by chance? Let’s take a look at the history-and some alternative histories-of the World Wide Web to better understand where we are today. And then, let’s cast our gaze to the future!

The biggest thing I took from this? Teen pregnancy can't be solved by CSS, JavaScript and Aria. I totally agree that web standards are the way forward. Talking with a group of developers at a university about upgrading to new css frameworks, It's very clear there should be one real way to create everything for the web. The current web is extremely fragmented. New developers have no clue where to start and I would be scared to embark my journey that way other than the organic way I learned. There is way too much diversity when it comes to "how to build a website". One love dev's!

I don’t agree with SCSS being obsolete just yet

Yeah while I agree it's far less necessary now than it was, I still can't live without SCSS. It'll be dead once native CSS has colour manipulation functions, string manipulation, the ability to convert data types, custom functions, loops, maps, mixins, and logical operators.
