I think is also worthy to mention transform-origin style and order of applying transformation
@Laura693 жыл бұрын
09:48 Worth to note that transform functions can be used more than once inside transform property and that order of transform functions matters: transform: translateX(100px, 100px) scale(2); transform: scale(2) translateX(100px, 100px); They dont give the same result

Thank you for video! Super informative! One more thing to mention about transform, is that it should be used for animations instead of positioning (right, top, etc...) Position changes are heavy rendering every pixel, while transform is more smooth and less resource-intensive (causes less fps drops).

Hi Kyle, Thanks for your illuminating presentations. Read much about Transforms. But watching you discuss its depth today, made a Lotta difference. I do have a worry, on a different property, 'float'! It appears to be outta favor today! Any idea why? Is there any other way of getting text to flow around or beside an image? Why is the literature villifying the 'float' property?

for example: .transform-3d { transform: translate3D(20px, 20px, 40px); } .transform-3d override { // here can we override only y axis without disturbing the x and z axis values } is it possible to override only y axis without disturbing x and z axis ? (inside override class)
@Laura693 жыл бұрын
Using custom properties to modify each value individually it's the better way to do that
@anonymousshooter36363 жыл бұрын
@@Laura69 thanks for the reply. so basically you are saying that using css variables in this context. (just to correct my knowledge)

I am new to CSS/HTML, and I am having trouble understanding the last part. Why would you creat two classes(big, move)? Can't you just for example creat class .change and overide both translateX and scale at the same time. Isn't the end result the same as .move.big?

Thank you for the great tutorials. I would like to ask about HTML. Is there a way to do partials?. I mean, if the project is large, we can make partial files for Nav.html and sidebar.html and so on. Then we can include them in the main html file index.html. like Include nav.html Or link src;nav.html Is that possible in any way? Thank you

You could use a framework like Vue or React. Earlier people could use JQuery for that, but not recommending.
