This is the most inspirational video I’ve ever seen. As black oboist who wasn’t even allowed to play a double reed until I taught myself and threatened to quit band midway through high school, it’s wonderful to see such young talent. He also looks very much like I did when I was his age, so I very much see myself in him. I can’t wait to hear him when he finally gets a Heckel in his hands!
