Angry Nuggets Coach Explodes With NSFW Message After NBA Playoffs Heartbreak
Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone is going viral after his curse-laden rant following their Game 7 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.
In his postgame presser, Malone was asked about how hard it is to lose after going up by as much as 20 points. The Nuggets found themselves leading by 20 early in the third quarter after finishing the first half with a 15-point lead.
Malone, however, didn't like then question and went off at the reporter.
"The season’s over. That’s what’s hard. F**k being up by 20. Season's over. You don't understand that. Season's over. It's hard. Stupid ass questions," Malone exclaimed.
Michael Malone's frustration is understandable. The Nuggets were one win away from reaching another West Finals appearance, and they had two chances to take it. After trailing 2-0 in the series, they won three straight. However, back-to-back defeats to the Timberwolves ended their title defense.
For what it's worth, though, Malone could have probably handled the situation better instead of going off at the reporter. At the end of the day, people just want to hear his thoughts and what he's feeling at the moment even though it's obvious.
Sure enough, many were quick to criticize him.
"Dude answer the question or just say, “Next”. You’re not Phil Jackson or Pop," one commenter said. Another critic noted, "SORE LOSER…..U TAUNTED THE LAKERS."
"It’s not the reporter’s problem if you and your team cannot maintain a 20 point lead in a game 7 on your home court. Keep your ego in the back pocket and answer the Q as a professional. How is it a silly Q," an X user furthered.
With the Nuggets' season over, though, Malone has plenty of time to cool his head.

After Denver won it all last season, I never got that feel that they were going to be a dynasty. They just didn't pass that eye test. I was impressed but not blown away. The splash brothers warriors, The Shaq/Kobe Lakers, the Larry Bird celtics, and the Magic/Kareem/Worthy Lakers all gave me that feel.
