Springtime at Paleachora, the old town, on Aegina island in Greece

On a steep hill adjacent to the church and monastery of Agios Nektarios is located Aegina’s version of Mystras - Paleachora, which means literally, “Old Town”, and which was for a millennium (9th century - early 19th century AD) the island capital. The setting itself is magnificent, especially in spring, when all vegetation is a brilliant green both on the hill and in the valley below, seen in panoramic splendor from high above.

@@AeginaHealing I like dogs. It saddens me the Greeks attitude towards dogs but I hear on Aegina they are looked after. I spent 2 summers on spetses when I was young, looking at going to Aegina some time. Looks very green.
