Find high quality PDF tutorials, solved FEA, books and online webinars at: expertfea.com
The purpose of these webinars is to give a hands-on approach for beginner and advanced users in in FEA and Ansys Workbench, by using lots of images and step-by-step details to successfully solve the presented FEA scenarios.
Seeing that nowhere can such practical scenarios be found and learned from, we took this task of making it accessible to every level of FEA user in Ansys (Workbench). Hence, we invite the FEA engineer to fine tune the parameters in order to understand how the software works, and how to best suit his/her application.
After having finished running the webinars, we strongly recommend, for more practice, to refine the mesh, to parameterize the values of the loads and tamper with the time step conditions in the Analysis Settings.
These webinars bring light and shows a clear path where no book, scientific paper or workshop could help until these tutorial was created. Please pardon the big words, but judging from our research and the large demand that was addressed to us, until today, no tutorial was available on this subject for Ansys (Workbench).
We offer high quality ANSYS tutorials and Finite Element Analysis solved cases for Mechanical Engineering.
If you are interested in building and performing similar scenarios, you can download their MECHDAT files to see the settings we used for materials, mesh, boundary conditions, loads, time steps etc., together with the 3D models.
This FEA case can be solved in the following versions: ANSYS 14, ANSYS 14.5, ANSYS 14.5.7, ANSYS 15, ANSYS 16, ANSYS 16.1, ANSYS 16.2, ANSYS 17, ANSYS 17.1, ANSYS 17.2, ANSYS 18 and more.

Don't you think the maximum deformation is 180 mm of the mechanism, is it a good result?

Deformation means also Displacement or Travel.

Sir I have got one question.Actually I was also analyzing crank slider type of mechanism when we apply rotational velocity to crank (Which in real we will achieve by connecting motor) As I am given constant input power , should I also give moment as input along with rotational velocity from the equation ( Torque* rotational velocity = input power)?

For me it seems kinda redundant to have both, but you can check: run once with both rotational velocity and torque, then run without one of them and see the difference, hence draw conclusions. Good luck!

Thank you so much sir for replying.. I actually did without moment... and it gave almost the same result..but I couldn't understand why it happened .it would be very helpful if you explain how it is redundant when we apply both??

I have read in other posts that the main difference between transient and static structural is that static does not use the inertia of the bodies...

Yes, I agree with you, Transient is most useful when dealing with kinematics/ dynamics.

+张广成 Yes, here the difference is clearly explained: www.researchgate.net/post/What_is_difference_between_implicit_and_explicit_FEM_in_non-linear_quasi-static_problems

sir i got a question to ask... if we are working in transient structural then is it necessary to give the clearance between two bodies like in your this video in first body to body revolute joint there is a little clearance between cylindrical shape surfaces
@expertfea_com
@expertfea_com 8 жыл бұрын
+rakesh singla When we use joints, the clearance is not important. (Generally, ) The joints are related/ linked to the axes, not to the geometry itself.
