Building on the insights from our first webinar on flexibility in bioenergy power systems held in September, the World Bioenergy Association, in collaboration with Bioenergy International, is pleased to present the second installment: Bioenergy for Flexibility in Energy Systems - Part II: Heat Demand.
This session delved into the critical role of bioenergy in addressing fluctuating heat demand in modern energy systems, where the balance between heat and electricity generation must be optimized to maintain system efficiency. Bioenergy, with its ability to provide dispatchable heat and power, offers a robust solution for providing on-demand energy for industries, commercial establishments, and residential areas.
The webinar explored how bioenergy can meet dynamic heat loads across different sectors. Speakers addressed system integration challenges and provided case studies on the successful deployment of bioenergy solutions for flexible heat production.
Speaker Lineup:
• Kjell Andersson, IEA Bioenergy T44
• Johannes Schmidl, proPellets Austria
• Jawahar Harinarayanan, BECIS
• Christian Rakos, World Bioenergy Association (Moderator)
