Considering the narrator's slow pace, this video is much better on 1.5 or 2x Speed.

That's what I do. I think the narrator's grasp of English is not the best, so he must go slower than usual. thank god for 2x.

First of all, thanks a lot for this content. Great video for beginners. But I'd like to point out that it's better to use different tags display mode in such introductory videos, since there are people who are new to both Oxygen and DITA (your poll at the beginning said it's 55%, so... :) ). I personally use Full Tags Display (sometimes with attributes). That way I can better understand which tag I should use in a particular case and where exactly to insert it.

Hi, can you 33:50 tell me difference between referencing a topic and appending it directly...
@serrendiptiy7 жыл бұрын
What you learn is that everything is not so simple with DITA implementations. For instance, one of DITAs main strengths is supposed to be information reuse BUT referring to the Oxygen documentation: "Topic References Outside the Main DITA Map Problem Referencing a DITA topic, map, or binary resource (for example, image) that is located outside of the folder where the main DITA map is located leads to problems when publishing the content using the DITA Open Toolkit." Ooops! so reuse in this case refers to snippets in documents already existing inside the project folder. If you come to create another project that may want to reuse the files of the 1st project, you have to copy all the files you want to the new project directory - this does not sound like reuse to me.

I am unable to drag and drop and topic "important keys" into DITA map. Please advise some other method to add existing task/topics in DITA map.

Some parts of the video went really slow, and some parts went very quickly where I had to backtrack. Also, it's very hard to understand the narrator. That said, the content is very relevant and well laid out. Thanks!

Hi guys, I have 2 questions:1) Does this new Help solution works when NOT connected to Internet ... meaning, can it be all local on the device?2) If I have an App that has different versions (e.g. App1.0, App2.0) but also have within each version different configuration packages (e.g. App1.0 with Config pack 1, App1.0 with Config pack 2, etc) ... how can Oxygen handle it to present the corresponding context in the Web Help?
@oxygenxml7 жыл бұрын
Hi Leonard, The WebHelp output is an HTML application that does not require Internet connection when it is loaded in a browser. The WebHelp output is a collection of HTML files that does not necessarily need to be hosted on a Web Server and thus does not require an Internet connection when it is loaded in a browser. You can read more about the WebHelp output in our documentation: oxygenxml.com/doc/versions/18.1/ug-editor/topics/webhelp-output.html For the second question: You can publish the WebHelp documentation for each version of the application independently. Then, it is your responsability to redirrect the user to the corresponding documention URL. For further questions please contact us on support@oxygenxml.com Best regards from the Oxygen XML team.
