QUESTION: Thank you very much for this rich discussion. I need help here. I am a winner of the Olympiad 2024, but the program I want to pursue is offered exclusively in Russian. No University is offering this program in English. If I choose to do the program in Russian with one year of study of the Russian Language, will this be covered under the same scholarship? The Master's program is 2 years long, now plus the first year of studying the Russian Language will be 3 years in total. Will the scholarship cover the entire period of three years? Thank you.

The webinar is quite intriguing, and I have a question. I'm currently pursuing a PhD in Statistics here in Ethiopia, having completed my coursework and nearing the finalization of my dissertation. I'm optimistic about submitting my PhD dissertation for defense soon. At this juncture, I'm wondering if I'm eligible to apply for the OpenDoors scholarship in Russia. Furthermore, my academic background includes an MSc in Biostatistics and a BSc in Statistics. I noticed that among the scholarship subjects listed, there is Computer & Data Science, which aligns more closely with my educational background. Are there any other programs available that better match my educational goals, such as Bioinformatics, Data Science, Big Data, Machine Learning, or similar fields?

Thank you for your comments regarding the Webinar. In order to participate in the Open Doors Olympiad's Doctoral track, you should provide the proof that you have the Master's Degree completed. If you did not get the scholarship of the Government of the Russian Federation in the past for studies at the PhD level, there is no restrictions for participation in the Olympiad/submission documents for a quote/scholarship.

In order to participate, you should not prove the English language proficiency.

I have filled every aspect of the application for the master’s track, but I couldn’t find the submission icon to submit my application. How could I submit my application? In my country, the Ministry of Higher and Technical Education has just announced calling on interested students to apply for the open doors Russian scholarship through the ministry. So my question is if applied through the open doors scholarship online portal rather than my country’s education ministry, would I have any chance of winning the scholarship? Because I do not want to send my application to my country’s ministry.
