WEBP Files - InGoodNick

I let it slide for too long. WEBP files officially crossed the line the moment they were used as the preview image format on my favourite stock images website, Pexels. I know that would have been purely decided by Pexels and not a file format, BUT. There is no but.
Everyday I have to scurry over to that WEBP to JPG website just to waste about a minute of time. Which really isn't anything, I'm performing surgery or anything. Oh and don't get me started on SVG files.
Clearly this video is a joke. Come on.

I also hate webp files, especially animated ones, because nothing will play them and if you convert one to a gif it will increase the file size by like 600%, thus making it too big to post on Discord and forcing you to go and try to compress it.

Also, a lot of the stuff I use doesn't even support them at all.. I hated when I was working on a Scratch project, and I would try to search the internet for images matching it, but then they were in ".webp" (which isn't supported by any Scratch version, not even 2.0 or 3.0), so I would have to either convert it, skip over it, or do this annoying "original file" thing if it was on a wiki every single time (which doesn't always show for me so I have to do a workaround to that as well, and it basically shows it as the original file type, but that could then be ".webp")

Working on project. Need references. Find couple of good one. Instead of clicking and downloading them now i have to either download and convert or just screenshot and save them. It's annoying and it's slowing down and those 3 - 4 minutes i had to convert all that files i could work on project. Seriously google hates people.

hey hey no, you LEAVE SVG outta THIS crap. SVG lets you resize shit without it becoming blurry and pixelated. And unlike webp (who's just jpg and png in a trenchcoat), svg is completely different, so the lack of support is slightly more understandable. Blame Adobe for not supporting svg!
