Dynamics 365 Business Central - Landed Costs

Hi, I would like to know how would you accrue the cost when the actual cost of freight will only come after 3-4 months...thanks

Our clients prefer to use the application exactly for these instances as native Business Central will only allow the freight charges to be input upon invoicing. Our application allows users to specify an accrual at the time of receiving based on a percent of sale or fixed amount per unit as well as a fixed amount on the sale. These options usually give a good estimation based on prior freight charges. Further, users can both upload (via Excel) and modify the accrual directly in the application should that estimate be inaccurate. Once the invoice is received, the user matches the accrual to the actual amount to ensure the balancing entries are completed.
