I gotta say, they seem to be spending more and more time on things that are less and less worthwhile... community image generation - why? personalization - and it's going to be 'on' by default? what's the point of that? suppose I need images in a different style or change my aesthetic? I'd wager that most people who are going to be prepared to spend consistently on this service (which I guess is the point of it) are interested in: character and style consistency character posing video & 3D and a way for (even if they're vetted individually) for a way to bypass the content filters for certain jobs. A list of almost everything that seems not to be a priority.

why are they putting all this effort and funds into features 90% of the people won't use anyways? their biggest contester Stable Diffusion just flopped their SD3 release, so now the only thing the whole AI image generation community wants is better character customization and actual consistent scene building with multiple characters.

The creation rooms seem like a useless feature. I wish Midjourney would focus its resources on improving consistent characters, using multiple character references in an image, posing multiple characters together, copying a pose from an image and putting our consistent character in that pose, creating consistent backgrounds, customization options for building scenes, etc. These features are very important for storytelling.

Creation rooms might seem useless right now, but their goal is to completely leave Discord and move exclusively to their website. It’s eventually going to be a replacement for many of the channels and community forums that are still quite active.

haha I think it's just a human resources issue. They don't have a lot of employees (compared to most companies)

We want more control. That is it. I want to be able to LORA a character, add a reference pose,etc. just add the stuff stable diffusion has had but with the quality of midjourney and control of controlnets. How has this stuff not been added?

Midjourney is not a public company so it can go in the direction that the majority owner wants to go and that is what is happening. Concern for what most paying users want is down the list -- more consistent characters and better details in small faces, for example. He also seems to place an excessive amount of effort into getting beginner/novice users to use MJ and that is part of the reason behind the web site push. They have limited staff so only a few projects can get attention. I have asked them for many months to fix the problem that parameters are case sensitive, but it never gets done though it is a simple as one line of code! David also showed a spreadsheet of what users request, and the top items on it are not web rooms or community image generation.

I still don’t enjoy the speckle artifacts that V6 does most of the time. Pretty much have to fix those in post work with each picture. What a pain sometimes. Let’s see how V6.1 does.

May I ask what software you use to sync your audio (you talking) to the text you add at the bottom of the video. Maybe it is part of your video editor or maybe it is separate software. I've been looking in the AI world for something like this, but no luck so far....... Thanks

@@jmg9509 basically it's to use another image as a reference to tell AI where you want the subjects to be in the image and what kind of framing you want. Wide, medium, etc.

@@haljordan1575 Ahh okay I get it. I try to do this with image prompting on low weights, but unfortunately the style almost always transfers with it too, and with iffy results on the actual composition match "/ So yeah, that would be really great to have.

Why is Midjourney not adding any type of real control or adding characters like LoRAs. Also getting less censored. I keep having fully clothed people come up as NSFW. It is irritating.
