You ran smack into something I've wondered about with edge services. Yes, the code runs on the edge, but where does your data come from? Edge databases are working on this, but you have no control over where API's are, if they even exist outside AWS US-East-1 (which is unlikely). Glad to see that Sentry was able to help you narrow this down! I find that when I'm on a site that has consistent latency I am happier than when the site is fast on read and slow on write. It's great that the page load time for viewing a product is instant, but if takes 10s to add it to my cart, I'm still going to be annoyed.

The insight that Sentry has given me on what real users are experiencing on my website is invaluable. Real data _far_ outweighs lab data (i.e. running Lighthouse tests in development)!
