its too late, But it can help for others who following this tutorial Right now. The problem is Your wamp server or Xamp or any other server not starting at all. So Check wheather appachi and mysql services are running or not. If they are not running, You will get error. Because If Mysql DB not running how you can fetch the data in to data table? There is no response for ajax request. Hence You need a active connection between the Data base. Hope this will work. Happy coding.
