I know what I went through around four years ago in Cedar Rapids Iowa with the dercho may only been about 15 minutes of hearing it go by and the house shaking. Nine days without power will be no comparison to what Floridians will go through.

I'm pretty sure your close to my area. I'm in Zephyrhills. I think I have PTSD from this storm. It was so loud. Still today water rescues are occurring. Still no gas. I'm so sad for what I see around me. I'm so blessed to have my property in tact when almost everyone around me is damaged.

same thing happened here a couple weeks back in SC. Lost power for a week and major damage. still have so much damage here. very sad!! I could relate to a lot of what you said Janice. Hurricane Milton came in as a cat 2/3. Been in Tampa all my life and this was the worst Tampa has ever had. No power for 4 days. No gas for a week. Others had it worse and lost everything.

I am from Central Florida. In my city we got 14.18 inches of rain . I have some damage to my property. I have been living in Florida since 1989 and Hurricane Milton is the 8th hurricane I have been through. I am glad your both okay.

I was praying and think of you guys as well as Ana and Ant. I’m in a small town north of Orlando and let me tell you I was scared. I’m just catching up on sleep. I’ve been through so many Hurricane since I moved from NYC in 1993 this was by far the worst other then back in 2004 when we got hit with 5 hurricanes in a row 😢. So glad you guys are doing good. Oh man 😢😢 I have 3 siblings and several friends in Florida(thank God they are OK) In 2017 I bought a flight to visit my sister weeks ahead of time and when I heard that Hurricane Irma was going to hit at that time (3 days in) I was like ok fuc* it, if something happens to me I'm good because I'm gonna be with family and I wanted to experience it .... that was the scariest thing I ever been thru (no electricity for at least 4 days) those winds sound like the devil against my sisters windows and she's in Orlando so I could only imagine what happened on the coast, I never want to experience that again...prayers for all those were affected 🙏🏽 I'm so happy you guys are safe ❤
