This was really helpful! I've been trying to figure out the differences in the different types of bustles from looking at pictures. I agree with some of the other comments - A part 2 showing bustles on fuller skirts would be extra helpful. My dress is A line ☺️.

Thank you for all of this information, it’s very helpful! I have been concerned about the bustle of my dress as I near alternation time. It was particularly helpful to hear that for sunset photos, it is preferred to have the dress bustled so that they go by quicker! I hadn’t considered that!

Clear buttons are perfect for lace dresses because they are very hard see over lace. To locate all you have to do is run your hand over the dress to find them 👍🏽

Love this video!! Would you also need a bustle for a ball gown style skirt? A lot of the dresses I’m considering are ball gown. That last bustle was just stunning on the dress, and this video was so helpful in explaining the differences between bustles!!

What’s your opinion on doing a wrist loop, and then changing into a second dress later in the evening, after the first dance? We are going to be taking swing classes for the first dance, and I’ve been thinking the train on a wrist loop would look super cool for the type of dance. But maybe I’m being overly ambitious. 😂 Or not thinking about all the details.

I think if you had a really lightweight gown and you made sure to practice in it beforehand (you could practice with the dance instructor so fiancé doesn't see it) to make sure it will work, then go for it! But I definitely wouldn't do it if you can't get a feel for it beforehand ;) And I always love dress changes!!

I have a tulle ballgown, but I do want a train. Do you think traditional or french would work for that?

Hi Abigail, thank you for the question and congratulations on your engagement! If your skirt is straight then I would suggest the traditional because it would blend in with the pleats. If you have texture or "horse-hair trim" on the skirt then the french would be perfect.

What is the length of your dress called? What do I say to the seamstress? I have a ballgown with a lot of tulle with no details at the bottom. I would like to do what you did to your dress. I have a petite frame and just under 5' tall. I don't want that much weight to carry around.

Just floor length hemmed to floor height with a very slight train.
