This society crap is so annoying! I stayed in an apartment in Pune for a year and the society would keep calling the landlord and complain if a guy friend ever came to my house. How nosy and disgusting!!! I had to keep clarifying that I was engaged and these were just friends, and they still kept complaining!!! Would never happen in Bangalore -_- It's a Maharashtra thing! Sorry to be State-ist!

its good that you guys spoke up about the discrimination in renting houses. but i feel like the unmarried thing is due to the recent no. of crimes amongst live-in couples, and how the court is also taking steps to make live-in relationships more safe. granted yall are fiances and they shouldve let you take the house but its still a concern yk. i think its just that people dont usually except these conditions in big cities like mumbai. then about the 'hindu only' condition, i mean there are pretty obvious reasons why its a thing. (food differences etc). i'm not saying the discrimination is okay but i'm saying there are reasons why they exist in the first place. they want to minimise any possible conflicts in their business. people from other cities might also understand ig. its just we dont expect these conditions to still exist in delhi/mumbai etc.

I’m staying in bandra from 4 hrs, I’m a single woman but a corporate girl so it’s bit easier. Not gonna lie I had horrible experiences with some of my freelance girl flatmates n now even I’m cautious about only having corporate person. Regarding the religion part, it’s very common! There are only jain , Muslim, christian apartments also . It’s nothing to be in shock. It’s all about being comfortable with your community people. I don’t see anything wrong with this.
