The mixing takes long. If you’re playing other types of music, you wanna move between tracks quickly. Check DJ Cleveland Terry and DJ Nick Spinelli for this. They do parties and weddings.

Agreed I’ve been in the club seen since 16 I’m 31 now started djing on some vinyls learned to beat match watching my buddies roommate and the rest of my progress was almost 100% from making then playing back my sets to myself the handful of times I’ve played at a event and learned real quick how different you can sound with real sound vrs. Booth monitors at home 😂

What are you talking about? The master level is not in the red. Yes the individual channels are but really doesn't matter if the master isn't hot. I prefer to keep my master just below yellow clipping and my channels hitting in the yellow and slightly below red. Keeps the mix full and warm.

You can get pretty cheap controllers these days that work with phones and tablets. It's a good way to get into it and see if it's something you enjoy, before you buy expensive gear.

@@blauerpelikan well, makes me sound better and usually the sound guy, or girl, will turn me up louder bc they all know I'm not going to destroy their speakers. I know when I'm working the system, I control the volume DJ to DJ bc I know who I can trust or not trust. If one is playing actual records, I'll allow a little red bc but any red for digital distorts . People also don't change their gains in the programs and just play it as it comes but again, people just don't want to learn anything. I can go on and on with this subject but...

Under each volume fader the option is set to “thru” which means the cross fader has no effect on those volume faders. So it doesn’t matter where the cross fader is - if the volume faders are up there will be sound from the respective track

What looks simple is not so simple. Djing is not using a mixer, it is leading an audience to dance an enjoy. That audience is usually unpredictable. But in the technical aspect, this mix is in compatible keys, in phrase and gives a perfect smooth result.
