Ordered it from Amazon, the one on glide gear looks very similar but with a more expensive price tag. The photos also avoids showing the "zhiyun" logo on the back motor, not sure whats that all about.

Id love to see a field test of you using this. It would be great to see instances of when and when not to use the autofocus, with some examples. I have one with the sony a6500 !(sold A7S) with sigma 30mm 1.4 for weddings...killer combo..... but this film made it look like it takes ages. I use the same lens on it all the time so quick release plate....turn off and when I need to use it...literally clip push button and go ....like 3 seconds. my old glidecam was a nightmare.. took forever to setup always out somehow!! for weddings this is the best thing since a bride!!! period

I bought it on a whim before I could find any online reviews and now their everywhere! like to switching between my sony 10-18 lens and my 35mm 1.8 lens. I can switch lenses and not throw off the gimbal balance. So much versatility. Can you do that with you’re A7SII setup?

Mine just arrived, waiting for my hotel room so I can open it. I do not think mine or the newer ones ship with remote or the legs, but I bought the manfrotto mini tripod for it anyways. BH does not specify what is in the box, I have a ton of 18650 batteries for my vaping pipes.

thanks for posting this is the best vid i have seen on how to balance the Zheyun Crane, just a quick question about using the A7s with this gimbal. You mentioned the autofocus being helpful in run and gun shooting, but when yu are shooting wit tis set up, do you with the internal stabilisation on the camera off or do you leave it on also. Some posts I have read suggest that using a gimbal like this and the internal stabilisation of the camera fight against each other and almost create a jittery effect.

Kraig, we've been using this now for a couple of months and it is truly stunning I love it. What are your recommendations for staying in focus when you are on the go either going towards your talent or backing off? Nice review! Thanks for doing this. Are yo able to adjust the deadband/acceleration in the app like you can do with the Ronin M? I really like to have it set a little lower so I can ease in/out of movements. Also this thing is begging for an app update to add time-lapse/motion control functionality! You could mount it on a tripod and set it to pan/tilt/roll over a longer period of time.

I just received the V2 of the same. I used it with both a Sony A7sMKII and my Canon 5DMKIII. It works fine with Canon, just know long lenses if close to the maximum supported weight will have the gimbal ( even when carefully balanced) jumping up and down with any type of quick mouvement. This is again long lenses only like the 24-105 L especially since the focal changes the barrel length.

Chris D looks like Glidegear is just a distributor for Zhiyun. kind of like with the beholder DS1 gimbal. Team Rebel Design makes them in China and then both Owl Dolly and Ikan rebrand it and sell in the U.S. I believe the same thing is happening here, because they look to be the exact same gimbal.

this one takes 1.2kg, for more weight try Pilotfly H2 it takes 2.2kg, Ronin M takes 3.6kg
