To all the people who are watching/listening to wedcamp for the first time: This is Suiyoubi no Campanella (aka wednesday campanella). The group started out as a project by Kenmochi Hidefumi, Dir.F (the producers) and KOM-I (the original lead singer and songwriter who just left the band in september 2021 to work on solo art stuff) and Utaha (the new lead singer/songwriter, this along with Alice are her first singles with the group). They're known for their blend of hip hop and edm with often nonsensical and whimsical lyrics (this song's lyrics are a bunch of locations for example). Anyway please check out their other songs and videos they're really good.

Wow... and here I am with no clue what the lyric is about and thought it might be about Time or eating Veggies. Thanks for the clearification and the background info. I was hella confused

They started with two vocals, actually. You still can see the second vocal on the first songs. The plan was to have 3 vocals, I think 🤔

By deleting it, you are hindering education and cultural exchange. *Note: The track focuses on the word 宮殿 (kyuuden), which roughly translates to "palace" or "estate". **Note: Actual GPS coordinates for Setagaya, Tokyo. ***Note: Japanese speakers often use common yet distinct compound words, which are not directly related, to express and specify the particular reading of a _kanji_ (Chinese character). This practice is akin to how English speakers might clarify "B" by stating "B as in 'boy'" or "V" as in "Victor" for added emphasis and clarity.

I did check the latitude and longitude and it brings up Kyuden House in Setagaya, by searching Kyuden House further brings up Kyuden Togashi - The High House of Light from Legend of the Five Rings - is this searching too much into this?
I love how they gave us two completely different songs at the same time. "Alice" showcases Utaha's more melodic side in a more conventional J-pop song, whereas with "Buckingham" she's showing she can rap in an eccentric way, the same way our beloved KOM_I did. I'm obsessed with both these songs, and I can't wait for a full album to be released! Welcome back, WEDCAMP!!

rapping lyrics along with fascnaingly timed elecotroinc riffs is hardly conventional jpop though^^
She really sounds like KOM_I at times here. I really loved KOM_I's voice and what it brought to the music, but wow this is a great new era for Wednesday Campanella. I'm looking forward to it!
