Verse 9: And all the people saw him…walking and praising!
Matthew 5:16…
Verse 10: They were taking note….filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
Jeremiah 32:17…
Verses 11 & 12: The people were full of amazement…..but they did not acknowledge that it was the LORD who healed the lame man. They were looking to Peter and John……not God. Peter is making a point to the people about the importance of looking to the Lord….and not to mere men.

Verses 13-15: At some point, each one of us has to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

At some point, we must acknowledge that it was OUR sin that put Christ on the Cross, and then we must respond to the truth:

Verse 16: Peter declares that it is only on the basis of FAITH in the NAME OF JESUS that the lame man was healed.
