Me and my 3 other friends were at an amusement park, the 4 of us split up to get food. 2 of my friends were getting pretzels and my other friend and I were getting Oreos. And then we heard the shot. My friend pulled me out of line. I thought someone dropped something to be honest. We got our other friends, but our friend’s mom was on the other side of the theme park. I was texting all my friends. “I love you” “You mean the world to me.” My boyfriend was texting me the whole time. We got to a point where there was no more crowd, probably 105 feet away from the parent or something.. I was so scared. My friends had to shush me because I kept yelling stuff like “holy shit, I don’t want to die.” When we got into the room they locked it and we didn’t turn off the lights. We barricaded the door and everything. Someone said that it was safe to come out but it wasn’t the police. My friends and I were huddled in the corner, sobbing. So yeah, it might’ve not been done “correctly” but you’re scared and panicked; what else could you do.

Honestly i would have done it. If my sibling was stuck i would h risked it all too for them. But luckily when i got stuck in a school shooting my sister had already finished her schooling by then and i was in high school last yr itself. Didn't had to worry about her.

I don't think it's a good idea to move out of your safe place and risk both your and your sister's life. Instead you should tell your sis to remain calm and quiet and stay where she is( lock the doors firm and turn the lights out) and provide her with all the basics real quick and end the call fast. Then turn your phone into silent mode.
