I've been watching other Weebly tutorials for beginners, and they seem to rush through features with the cursor jumping about, confusing the beginner. This tutorial works at a natural pace for beginners, and you use the term navigate when you move your cursor to a new location. There's more, but suffice it to say, well done!

Hi, enjoyed and learnt a lot. How do you remove or replace the background images ( which have text overlaying them) from different pages which come with a template? I cannot see a box or an x at the top right hand, as I sere with images or text in sections.

Hi Mersine, You can create pages and arrange them in your menu to be on the primary or sub menu.

I've used Weebly for years... I like its functionality...but I have a question about the 'external page'. What's that used for? Would that work as a page on which to offer a lead magnet... like a PDF? Only downloadable for those providing email.

Hi Laura, You can create your website with the free plan, asn then upgrade to a paid plan with the a few clicks. Super simple. All the best!

I have two questions: I have a writing blog on Blogger and I'd like to know if I can include the blog posts I wrote so far (or some of them) to the 'blog' section of Weebly. I'd also like to know if it's possible for readers to leave their e-mail address when they download for free a doc/a book, etc. that I make available through my Weebly website.

You are welcome Laura, 1) you do not want to have the same blog duplicated on different websites. Unless you move them over to your new website. You can set this up, however, you might need to upgrade to a paid plan to access this feature. Of you can use a free email marketing service like MailChimp.

Okay. If that that's the case you can create your own website from scratch or use a theme that you like and customize it to your liking.

Why doesn't Weebly show SSL in the General Settings? I read on a Weebly thread that it comes automatic now and if your site isn't showing secure, unpublish and republish. That did nothing for me, and my site continues to show "Not Secure" even after clearing cookies and trying different browsers.

Hi mate, If the SSL continues to not show, you'll need to get in touch with support, and they will push the SSL for you.

Yes you sure can. Changes will be saved automatically. And will not be published to your website until you hit publish.

It would be a lot easier to follow if you used a large and colorful cursor like the popular yellow ball. Saying "over here" or "down here" isn't all that helpful. But thanks for the tutorial; it is helpful.
