THANK YOU PEACOCK! What a mess watching SX and MX was this year. The only real issues that the broadcast had on Peacock was several times with no audio on the commentators. I feel the SX/MX feud started way back at the beginning. You had, as I recall, three promotional groups? Mickey Thompson, Pace, Mike? Goodwin. Then mergers and sell-offs... on and on. Everyone wanted a piece. Plus SX has always been a higher cost entry point. So, po-folk vs rich-folk.

World SX is giving the money to the teams NOT the riders, and if your not hired by one of the 10 teams you can’t even show your potential. They don’t have a pool of riders except from the existing SX racers in the US and a few of the people that are trying to get here that would sign in a second if given the opportunity. It’s silly to think any other series would be trying start if it wasn’t for SX in the USA. Most motorcycle purchases are never going to see a SX track so ANYTHING that would jeopardize outdoor moto or GP’S would kill the motorcycle sales in every country not just the USA most local racing is outdoor in every country. Try to understand why the manufacturers aren’t all in for the flyaway races in a few stadiums around the world and giving up the grassroots outdoors that develop the elite SX superstar’s. If you think it’s hard to get a descent SX ride now think if there’s only 22 250’s and 22 450 with ZERO chance to race even if you could afford to fly your bike and team to race, It’s a closed system and privateer’s ARN’T invited. Big picture is if outdoors went away so would SX in the next 10 years ❤

I wonder how this would effect Jett or any other riders that will race 1 class in SX & swapping classes outdoors as far as who “qualifies” for the “playoffs”.
@Peanutdenver2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you'll have your standard 250 sx champ and 250 mx champ and then a champion for both outdoors and sx combined via total points for both mx and sx. So since Jett is doing 250 sx and 450 outdoors he wouldn't be in contention for the overall combined championship. But in 2024 he'll be on a 450 full time and obviously be in contention for this combined sport title. Hope that makes sense.

As much as people think this SMX is cringey, it was the best way to offer Peacock a yearlong product. I think the 5 year peacock deal came because of this merging of the series. One problem I see is no one is talking about the burnout rate; especially the top riders. Obviously riders like Vilipoto and Dungey had years left in their career; but the mental burnout was too much. They cut one of the motocross races, so lets knock off a supercross or two, so were not burning everyone out. And in my opinion, I get a little tired of hearing how supercross is the championship everyone wants; the life of the sport. BS; motocross made supercross and most riders can relate to motocross more than supercross. The endurance and two moto format is what the sport is all about. I am glad the two organizations are working together; that is definitely a plus for the sport. But please stop the stupid comments on how people can’t understand the 2 moto format; people are not morons. Keep motocross alive and strong.

Too little too late and now you're ruining motocross. Why didn't you have the normal supercross series, and then move the motocross series to August thru October and the World Supercross could run in the middle. No rider conflict between series and the chance for all the riders to make some decent money. The American series are so cheap, The riders are the show and you still charge them to race.
