I'd definitely recommend flatbed, if you want to have some sort of physical labor. It helps me to stay active and keep moving. But not everyone want to strap and tarp out in all sorts of weather.

Hi, thank you so much for this. I have been looking for your type of video. I do have a question since I will be starting training in a few weeks. how much time do they have you on a simulator (I ask only because every time I’ve ever been a simulator in an amusement part I’ve gotten sick).

Hey, glad you found what you were looking for! I haven't been on a simulator yet, it's all real truck driving you'll be doing. I'm going into week 3 now and my instructor did mention he would try and get us on a simulator sometime this week, but only if we had time. Hope this answer helps!

All depends on what terminal you go to as well. I'm currently in Marshfield, gonna do my phase 2 test out tomorrow. But I did my phase 1 in gary and they don't use the simulation at all anymore.

Ya man there are like 20ish modules you have to get done before the start of the 2nd week. Most of them take like 5-10 mins. Some of them can take longer, just depends on if you skip or read everything. I got them done by day 2, but you have all week to get them done by. All in all they aren't that bad really. Get out after your training is done. All of the imstructors are really good. All of the trainers throughout the terminal are good. No complaints with training. The general operations of the company is absolutely horrible!!🤨 They start out ok in the beginning but as you go into phase 3 all hell breaks loose!! Poor load planning on the planner, poor route planning with fuel and routing, the fleet manager's are ok in the beginning but as you go on it gets bad. They do not allow time for problems on the road and they like to run you very low on time on your clocks, they are using personal conveyance incorrectly and it's getting drivers in trouble with dot for hos violations. Behind the scenes on the office side of the company they are 2 faced liars... big time!! Roehl is my first driving job and they screwed me over. They are having problems within the office in most departmemts and those problems are surfacing out on the road with what drivers roehl still has. The load planners and fuel & routing program and the staff all suck!! The trucking industry is a great career to get into, but with roehl it's absolutely no good!!

They do not check for sleep apnea, at least I haven't been checked yet. You do share a room unless you pay extra to have a room to yourself, and yes automatic trucks.

Yes there is a camera but it is only triggered in shock events like hard braking.

If you're going to preach hip make sure you have your answer just checked before you get there. Because things change detours pop up that were unannounced that's another thing called the customer Use your Google maps to get a picture of the location on Where you're going exactly When you get there it makes it a lot easier if you haven't been there before That's the only thing I can think Google maps are good for Get an idea on where you're going and how you're going to approach without driving down back roads filing the app down street That you shouldn't be down.

And the pretrip it works well I've did that a lot and did find issue with the lt trun Signal was out that wasn't out Day before. Do your online classes Something else to keep you up at night. Probably mounted in secure yes you're right it definitely Do say that a lot. But definitely bad attention when you're studying Area pre trip front the back Coordinate yourself, you have to. It's funny for me for some weird reason I couldn't and on a pretrip test I froze everything I knew went right out the window But 20 minutes ago I could Start front the back incab For some weird reason just didn't come out it's not that I didn't know. Mind went blank Is shooting from the hip don't do that. I did have a good experience at that company I just didn't didn't pass the Pre trip. Everything else I was good ready to go. It's funny the other company that I passed at and messed up on a Pre trip But I didn't the 2nd time Make sure your wheels are blocked It's on the Uneven ground Before you do your You do your pre trip.
